They Like to Wrap Her in Velvet

Sometimes no one can hold me except people I know. Yesterday was one of those days, actually most days are like that. I let my godmother and grandparents hold me, but that's really about it (aside from my parents of course). Anyway we went to Elaine's yesterday and played with all the other kids for four hours. In the picture from left to right, there's: Ashley, the other Lauren is holding me, Victoria and Luca, Eva, Declan, and Nicole is holding Sophia. Very cute. I was tired and became very cranky but they have great toys and a great toy room and I had so much fun. I was awake all day until 8 pm because then my mommy went out for dinner with her friend and daddy took care of me and gave me dinner and put me to bed after we played for a bit. I am finally over that nasty cold and ear infection I had. I will get to see my grandparent's again tomorrow after one week of all of us being sick. I think we will visit my great aunt and uncle as well. Today we did our groceries and daddy bought me a Tinkerbell suitcase and my nonna bought me a Tinkerbell bedspread for when I get a little girl's room rather than a baby's room. Its going to be different shades of greens and blues with some purple hues (a rhyme!) and its going to be so pretty. Its a ways away though. Posted by Picasa

I Fell For You Like A Child, Oh, But the Fire Went Wild

There hasn't been much to blog about lately. Never mind that we don't get many new pictures of me and I like to include a picture with each entry, but I have been really sick, AGAIN! This time it started with what seemed like a normal cold, but mostly a cough, and then turned into what seemed like my worst nightmare. It ended up being that both my ears are infected, but we had to go to the urgent care children's clinic at Burnaby General (where I was born) to figure it out. Now I am on antibiotics, sleeping lots, and starting to feel better. The doctor there wrote me out a prescription and put down my name as "Larun" and then the pharmacist couldn't read his signature so mommy had a hard time filling out my prescription. I don't want to eat though. They can get me to eat fruit and a few other things, but nothing like what I normally eat. Anyway, I have been home all week and didn't even go to my grandparent's house last week. We are going today though. Mommy has been out a lot and daddy has been working a lot, but I have been consistently at home. Mommy even had to cancel my appointment on Thursday with my Occupational Therapist because I was far too sick to go down there and I would have been miserable. It was tough. Anyway, mommy starts training this week at the grocery store so I have to get used to her being around a lot less. Hopefully I am 100% better by Friday because we have a play date at Elaine's and Tara and Luca are coming too! *Excited*! Posted by Picasa

Wake Up To The Velvet of the Morning

We have been pretty busy again this week, maybe its because the sun is shining again and spring is upon us. I don't really like going for walks anymore with my mom, godmother Jody and the dogs. I cry half way through now and don't really stop until we get home. Our Superbowl party last weekend was pretty fun. I slept for 2 hours of it which was good but I was still cranky and sensitive to all the loud laughter during the party. There was lots of food as always and my daddy put on a really funny video from two years ago when he went hunting with his work friends. They also watched the bonus footage from 40-Year-Old Virgin and they all laughed so loudly it made me cry. Mommy drank some wine and daddy could barely talk after the party was over because he just slurred. Grady was there and he slept a bit but also fussed a bit too. This week I have just started standing on my own, and my newest habit....poo-ing in the tub...HAHAHAH! Anyway, mommy has been busy with her friends and she is going to be starting work again soon. She only saw me for approx. 5 hours yesterday and was sad and missed me, imagine when she is working! I will be sad too, but she's just down the hill, daddy could take me to see her if he really wanted to (not). This weekend is going to be boring...we have no plans and daddy is going to work tomorrow. Valentines day is this Tuesday...don't forget the one you love! Posted by Picasa
