Looking Back, On The Track, For A Little Green Bag

So its been ages since my last post, I apologize to my many readers (ha!) for the lack of updates. To tell you the truth, there really isn't much to report. I am 13.5 months old now, a toddler who wants her way and will stop at nothing to get it. I hate to be held back. I am fiesty and I have attitude, everybody says so. I am not walking yet but I think I'm pretty close, and I am growing my third tooth as we speak. I sleep a lot, eat a lot and drink a lot of milk, so I am pretty good when it comes to the basics. I guess I'm a pretty good baby still.

We haven't really even been that busy lately, this weekend will be though. We are having mommy's friends over for dinner on Friday night so mommy is going to be busy making lasagna on Thursday and daddy is going to look after me. She will spend a lot of time cleaning and getting ready for the dinner (plus rearranging furniture because there will be three additional kids here that night). Sunday is daddy's superbowl party so we have lots of organizing to do for that too! Should be fun, I think the only other kid will be Grady here that day, and he's pretty used to coming here now.

Well, maybe I'll write about the weekend if its interesting enough. I guess it will be more interesting than this entry was! Take care! xoxo Posted by Picasa

We Come From Different Worlds But We Are The Same

Mommy hasn't been adding very many new entries lately because: a) we have been sick and have had no lives and b) she doesn't have very many new photos of me because these days I rarely stay still for a second so most of the pictures she takes of me are blurry because I am moving. Or, I have something in my mouth like a remote control or a camera so she just deletes those ones. Yes, we are still sick, today is my seventh sick day, it sucks. I have the runniest nose and a cough but my mommy seems worse! I don't know if I have a headache or not but she sure does, and she's not sleeping much, but luckily I am. Today we have no plans and mommy wants me to nap for a long time this afternoon so she can clean the house. Tomorrow we are supposed to be visiting with Elaine and her girls but if we are still this sick, maybe we won't go. I hope we go because Sophia and Victoria are a lot of fun.

I am in need of a haircut but last time mommy did it herself (as you saw) it did not look very good so she doesn't know what to do this time. I will not sit still long enough for a hairdresser to do it and will probably end up with a scizzor (is that how you spell it?) in my eye or something. On the otherhand, unless mommy does it while I'm sleeping, she won't get it cut either so I guess that is why I have been wearing barettes and pig tails a lot lately, to keep my hair away from my face. Posted by Picasa

Ok so I have not plateaued, my brilliant mommy has come to the realization that it's not that I haven't wanted to eat at all, it's just that I no longer wanted to eat the food she was giving me. I have tired of jarred food, cheese, kiwi, rice cakes, oatmeal, baby cereal, oranges, etc., etc. She just needed to spice up the menu a little bit. During the last couple of days I have eaten a wide variety of foods, including some old favorties such as chicken and pasta, but I have also tried meatloaf! Yum! I have a cold now though, so that's probably going to through my appetite off again for the next few days. Daddy is taking care of me all day tomorrow so stayed tuned...Mommy has her FoodSafe class for Thrifty. She misses me already.

I Have Plauteaued

I refuse to eat, for like 10 days now. The only thing I am mildly interested in eating, besides milk, is pasta. My mommy is growing increasingly frustrated to the point where she chucked my apple sauce bowl across the kitchen sink this morning because I just would not eat, again. Am I sick, am I teething, am I going through a phase where I'm just not hungry, am I being fussy or picky, when will it end? Posted by Picasa

All Is Quiet, On New Year's Day...

Sorry for such a long delay since my last post but it would seem that all we (or, mommy) have been doing since Christmas Day is shopping for deals for my wardrobe for the next year. Oh, and mommy is still obsessing about handbags on Ebay, but that's really about it. It's rare that my mommy posts a picture of herself here on my blog because she prefers to remain anonymous but its a special occasion because daddy actually look a picture of the two of us together that is not too bad, our heads are both in tact, its rather well centred, we are both looking at the camera and its not too blurry. Way to go dad! Last night we rang in the New Year with some very close friends, ones who would seem more like family these days rather than just friends. It was nice and close and special, although, I missed most of it because I was so tired and I went to bed at 9 pm and slept right until 9 am, which was great. My mommy didn't get to sleep until 5 am so she is not too happy today, but they did most of the cleaning last night so she doesn't have too much to worry about today. Not only is today the first day of 2006, it is also my mommy's dear friend, and Luca's mom, Tara's 30th birthday, so she is headed over there this afternoon to wish her the best on her birthday. I will be at my grandparents for most of the afternoon and since Metropolis is actually open now on New Year's Day, mommy will probably sneak over there for a bit to see if she can get me any more bargains on clothing! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE and all the best to you and your family. xoxoxo Posted by Picasa
