Holy Infant so Tender and Mild

This is me last Christmas, at only nine sweet days old... Posted by Picasa

And this is me this Christmas, at one fierce year old! I hated Santa and they forced my mommy to be in the picture and she looks pretty bad, don't you think? She said she would have loved the photo if she wasn't it in because even though I am crying, I am still looking at the camera and it certainly captures the experience on camera. Too bad my mommy ruined it. Christmas is so close, its only a few days away and I am so excited! Actually, I don't even know what Christmas is yet but its still an exciting, warm and spritual time of year. Hope you all enjoy the holidays! Posted by Picasa

With the Roses so Red and the Lilies so Fair

I'm sick and not feeling too happy these days. It all started yesterday when we were driving home and I have had some sort of stomach bug ever since. Not fun. I have made lots of nasty messes for my parents to clean up and I haven't been able to eat or drink. I may have caught the bug from Grady who was sick at my birthday party last Saturday. Don't know if I will be able to go to Scott's Christmas party tomorrow night and I am for sure not going to my last swimming class tomorrow morning. Sucks. Posted by Picasa

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO YOU

Dear Lauren Isabella,

A year ago today, we were blessed with the most wonderful gift of a sweet little angel that is you. We were as proud as can be and couldn't believe how much we loved you the instant we saw you. We love you more and more as each day passes and are overwhelmed with the joy and warmth you bring to our lives. Watching you grow is like being part of the best fairytale in the world. Each morning when I enter your room and see your precious face smiling up at me it fills my heart with the most love and happiness and I cannot wait to spend every day with you. Seeing the world through your eyes is a gift. Thank you for everything you have brought to us.

I hope you have a beautiful birthday, sweetie, and a terrific second year.

We love you very much, always and forever.

Mommy and Daddy

And I'll Admit, That I'm A Fool For You, Because You're Mine, I Walk The Line

Look at how cute we are together! Today is Grady's second week of being babysat by my mommy and I think things are going pretty well. We still cry when the other one cries, but that should hopefully end soon as we get more and more used to each other. So far our naps are staggered, which is good for mommy because then there is more time to spend one on one rather than her looking after the both of us at the same time all day! Today was the first time we took the Fugly out and went for a walk to the plaza. The Fugly is a side by side double umbrella stroller and this was the first time my mommy had ever pushed one. It was tough for her climbing up the hill pushing not only one, but two toddlers! Plus, once we reached the plaza she realized that she can barely fit through store doors and can hardly fit up and down store aisles, especially at this time of the year where there are displays and outposts down every aisle. Ah well, so my mommy learned today that she is very limited with what the Fugly can do, it doesn't move at all in even only a cm of snow, or on grass or mud and if she takes one hand off of the handle, it steers off the sidewalk. Luckily she didn't pay much for it, but it proves that you get what you pay for, truly. Grady and I were pretty good on our first outing together and I only fussed a bit in the bank, and we both cried a bit on the way home, but it was pretty good. Next time, maybe we will go for a car ride together and see how that goes!

PS Mommy lost the bid on that Burberry handbag she was obsessed with and is now even more obsessed with bidding on another one!

And The Days Go By Like A Strand In The Wind, In The Web That Is My Own, I Begin Again

So my birthday party was fun and went pretty well. It was hectic for my mommy but we all had fun and I got to spend time with the other kids and play, and eat cake, and get fussed over and open some presents. I was cranky though because I woke up right as the party was starting and my mommy tried to change me into my nice outfit really quickly and it made me mad and I fussed a lot. Then, when my mommy was trying to open my gifts I wouldn't let her go and I kept biting at her ankles so she had a hard time. No big deal. Grady had nasty diarreah which was smelly and someone spit up in my parent's bedroom (wasn't me). It's a mystery. Funny things happened, but no one ate any food and we have enough food to have two more parties left over still. My mommy found a Burberry handbag on Ebay that she is obsessed with. We are going to see my grandparents today and then Grady comes back tomorrow to by babysat by mommy for tomorrow and Tuesday. Posted by Picasa

So I'm Back To The Velvet, Underground. Back to the Floor, That I Love

HREF='http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4252/1070/640/Fifty%20Weeks%2017.jpg'>

We had our very first Christmas party on Saturday night. Dinner at Rob and Tara's and boy the turkey was good! I got to play with all the other kids there (all boys...yipee!) and I was very well behaved for the most part. I stayed up until midnight and therefore, did not get enough sleep that night so I was grumpy as usual at my grandparent's home on Sunday night. I wore my Christmas dress from my portrait and I didn't even ruin it. Not one gross stain, although, my mommy did ruin the tights I was wearing because she threw them in the dryer with my bibs and the velcro stuck to them and they were toast. Too bad because they were so cute. Anyway, on Sunday we went to visit my great-aunt and great-uncle who has to use a walker now because he broke his hip last month and was in the hospital for three weeks! Ouch. Today was the first day that Grady came over for daycare while his mommy went to work. It was her first day back after an entire year of being home with him, time flies! It's my first birthday party this Saturday, I'm very excited! I'll let you know all about it! TTFN! Posted by Picasa
