Time Makes You Bolder and Children Get Older and I'm Getting Older Too

So we just got back from Maui really really early this morning. It was the best time of my entire life (11 months so far)!!!! We had so much fun and my Godparents, Jody and Dario, had the most beautiful wedding! The weather was hot and humid and perfect everyday. I didn't sleep too much, and neither did my mommy, but I was in a pretty good mood the whole time aside from a few fussy periods, and I didn't freak out too much on the plane, not like the way to Ontario this past summer. The ride back was the best and I slept for three whole hours of the 5.5 hour flight! That meant that my parents only had to entertain me for two hours so I ate and watched a Baby Einstein dvd on our portable player and by the time I was through with that, it was time to descend. I didn't even cry when we were descending, not like on the way back from Ontario, but the kid behind us freaked out the whole time and he was crying and crying and I kept waking up. So, even though I was on my best behaviour, the poor people around us had to suffer through the crying of that other baby anyway. So, on Maui we walked around Kihei the first day and looked in some of the little shops, walked along the beach at Kamaole II, swam in the pool at the condo, visited the lava flow in Makena, went to Jody and Dario's fabulous wedding in Waliea at the most beautiful Grand Waliea Resort which was amazing! We swam in the pools there the next day and then later in the afternoon went to the beach and I played in the sand and ate it and got it stuck in my bum and my mommy had to spin me around upside down in the shower to remove it all, and then we had a pizza party down at the pool and on the last day, we went to Lahaina and walked along the main strip along the ocean and saw the biggest tree in the world which stood over 200 feet wide, and then we shopped at the mall and mommy bought some cool things and we raced like mad to the airport so we wouldn't be late because mommy had to shop at the last minute, and that was it. We left Maui at 30 degress at 5:30 pm yesterday and arrived home at 3 degrees at 1 am this morning. Ug. I will never remember this trip but I know it was the best time my family has spent together so far and I will always have great pictures to remember by. I love Maui, and I love my Compare (Godparents, in Italian), Jody and Dario and I wish them all the best in their marriage and their entire lives together. I love you guys! Thanks for sharing your special day with us and making us part of your wedding celebration and vacation and honeymoon in Maui! We can't wait to go back! Posted by Picasa
