The Angel Closes Her Eyes, Pale Blue Colored Eyes

We are having a heat wave! I don't seem to be having any trouble sleeping though, which is good, but I am not wearing much these days except for a diaper. The dogs are quiet these days, all they do is sleep and they don't have much energy to run around and bark. Yesterday was rather sad as my mommy and I attended her friend Tara's grandmother's funeral. Tara is currently 5.5 months pregnant, so her grandmother just missed being a great-grandmother. One life ends and a new one begins, and I will have another new friend! We have to go out today and get something for my great uncle's 80th birthday which is tomorrow. I have a cousin Paul who I still haven't met, but will finally meet tomorrow, for the first time. They live about 10 minutes away from me; funny how life is.
